Caledon Hills 33.8 km to 46.6 km November 25, 2016

The hike started at the intersection of Finnerty Road and Innis Lake Road, km 33.8
and we ended at the parking lot on Mono #5 Sideroad, km 46.6
It had snowed 5 or 6 cm the day before and it was still falling lightly the temperature was above 0C
and it was foggy throughout the hike.


 Today's hikers; Steve ""Neither snow nor rain nor threat of fog ....." our intrepid leader; 
"Last hill" Bill; "Forgetful" David;  "Determined" Leslie; and Case our sweeping photographer.

 The Trail heads north along the Innis Lake Road.



 Apparently a woodpecker has been busy removing bark in search of food.



We enter the Glen Haffy Conservation Area
Apparently it is still a bit early in the day for the picnicers.

 Tall hikers beware !

 We read the sign which invites us to enjoy the beautiful 'vistas' from this high point on the Trail.

Beaver Valley 56.2 km to 70.1 km November 17, 2016

We hiked this section from the parking lot on Johnston's Sideroad around the south tip of the valley
 and turned north ending at the Eugenia Falls Outlook.
Excellent hiking weather with temperature about 14C and mostly sunny.

 Today's hikers were; Case; Richard our leader; Andy, Leslie, David and Eric.
During hunting season we all tend to hike close to Eric.



 The first waterbreak was at "The Bench Too Short" 
Our leader points out 'Old Baldy' across the valley


 Not much Fauna to photograph at this time of year. Some fungi and a lot of moss.




 Trees have warts too ......


 A small foam 'pancake' caught in an eddy in the waterfall.



 We round the southern most point of the BeaverValley and head north.

 Just one more hill ......

At the end of the hike we are presented with a fantastic view of Euginia Falls.

Caledon Hills 46.6 km to 61.6 km November 10, 2016

This section starts where the Bruce Trail crosses Mono Twp #5 Sideroad at km 46.6 
and ends where the Tail crosses Hockley Valley Road at km 61.6.
The day was mostly sunny with temperature about 10C but quite windy, great hikig weather.

Today's hikers; Case, the photog; Andy; Eric; Annette; Bill; David and our leader Steve.


The Trail passes through a forest where the maple trees are connected 
with plastic piping awaiting the Spring maple syrup harvest.


The Trail heads up another hill past beautiful birches.

Some trees are just AWESOME

The Tral crosses Airport Road

and we climb another hill .....


"There he goes,behind the tree, do you see him?"

We follw the Trail down into another pictueresque valley


A well deserved lunch break.


 The Trail traverses the Hockely Valley Resort propertywhere they operate a Golf Course
in summer and a Ski Facility in winter. 
Here we survey the scenery looking north from the top of the ski hill.

Milkweed pods getting ready to let the wind distribute their seeds for next years crop.

We hike across the last fields towards the 2nd Line EHS which we roadwalk to 
Hockley Valley Road and the carpark.
