Toronto Section #5 from Winston Churchill 41.2 km to N. end of Chinguacousy Rd 2.5 km in Caledon, Feb 22, 2017

 Seven of us started out on the Caledon Trailway while three took the vehicles
 to the end of the hike on Chinguacousy Road and hiked back to meet us.
 Today's hikers. Sandra, our newbie; Steve our leader, Richard our co-leader; 
Marleen; Fran; Nancy; Ron; Stefan and Case carrying the camera.
 Good weather for hiking about 0C and cloudy.

 The Conservation people had been busy this winter cutting the Ash trees.
 We crossed several small creeks, luckily the flood waters had abated.


 Not many hills but a bit of rock climbing.

 Some rocks are just interesting ....
 He was an ardent hiker, he would have wanted it this way.

 We did encounter some tricky ice on the Trail
 We stopped for 'elevensies' at the Spirit House
very genteel, we should do this on every hike !!
More road walking until we arrived at the cars .....

Iroquoia #9 Mt. Nemo 91.7 km to Crawford Lake 106.6 km, Feb. 15, 2018

 Today we hiked from the Mt. Nemo parking lot to Crawford Lake Cons. area. 
14.9 km on the Bruce Trail plus another 1.5 /+/- to the parking lot.
 Today's hikers; Richard; Fran; Nancy; Ron; Rhonda; John; 
Karen, our leader; Arpi; Marleen; Stefan and Case our
 photographer was not quick enough to get into the picture.
 It was a cloudy, damp, day with a temp of about  +7C.
We started out with about 3.8 km of road walking.



 We cross Bronte Creek.

 We encounter a lot of slush due to the warm weather
 Due to a shortage of drivers three of our group took the cars to Crawford Lake 
and walked back to meet us. We had lunch when we met.



 Karen happy to have made it down a very slippery rock climb in one piece !

Toronto #4 from 27 Side Road 31.9 km to Winston Churchill Blvd 41.2 km, February 8, 2018

 Today we hiked from 27 Side Road and Eighth Line to 
Winston Churchill Blvd in Terra Cotta.
Today's hikers; Case who carries the camera; Richard; Steve our leader; 
Fran; Ron; Mike; Arpi; Karen; Nancy; Marleen; Ann and our sweep, Stefan.
 Great weather for a winter hike, sunny and -10C
