Beaver Valley #2 - Sixth Line 13.3 km to Tenth Line 27.9 km - April 26, 2017

The hike started on Sixth Line just north of Grey County Road 119 and ended
on 10th Line just north of the Kolapore Uplands parking lot.
Today's hikers; Steve, our transportation & accommodation
 coordinator, treasurer,, social convener and sometime leader;
Annemarie; David; Eric; Annette; Bill; Rhoda and Case.
We stared out road walking, this is County Rd. 119 looking west.
It was a great day for hiking, the temp started out at about 10C
and we had sunshine.
Looking west across the Beaver Valley
What are you looking for Annemarie?
Someone told me there might be Bobcats down there.

12th Sideroad looking west across the valley.
It's tough to keep this group moving with scenery like this .....

Lunch and a well deserved rest.

 The first Marsh Marigold blooms

This is for you Ron, what all do we have here?
Thick-stalked False Morel (Gyromytra fastigiata) [do not eat!] - in the center,
the Scarlet Cup (Sarcoscypha coccinea), and also an early (nonflowering) Blue Cohosh
(Caulophyllum thalictroides). Thanks Ron

We chose to take the Blue Trail through the Metcalfe Crevice.
"Okay Rhonda just put one foot here .... don't worry it gets easier after this. "

"That's it, hold on to the ledge with your finger tips, slowly move towards me ..."
"You #x%*'s lied to me."
