Caledon and Dufferin - Dunby Road (66.8 km) to 30 Side Road (13.3 km) - August 3rd/17

Ron, Fran, Stefan and Steve started the 16.7 km hike under warm cloudy weather conditions.

After a short road walk we climbed up the escarpment.

Ron admiring a truly great tree.

We soon descended the escarpment back to the road.

An interesting flower.

A mushroom.

Entering Dufferin!

Mono Cliffs Provincial Park

Steve demonstrating a dive over the escarpment into the forest below.

Making sure we know where we are.

Ron has found an interesting sample while the other hikers admire the view.

We took a Side Trail into a crevice.

A panoramic shot of McCarston's Lake

Back into the forest after a brief break at McCarston's Lake.

We stop to smell the flowers.

As does a Monarch butterfly.

Beautiful flowers at someone's entrance with an interesting gate post as well.

We trek through some fields but our finish line is in sight.

But a quick lunch before we stop.

Back into the forest and we are done.  Congratulations to Stefan who completed his Caledon Section!
