It was cloudy went Annette, Ron, Karen, Arpi, Richard, Nancy, Eric, Marleen, Catherine, David, Fran,, Rhonda, Stefan and Steve the photographer started the 15 km walk from Crawford Lake to Kelso Conservation area.
The paths were dry as we started a 1.5 km walk to the start of the trail.
The Trilliums were in full bloom
As were these unidentified flowers (I was told what they were but forgot).
Finally we reached the start of our hike.
The hike begins!
We came across this brightly coloured Newt out sunning itself.
As was Michael, taking a break from leading the 8 am Thursday hike and admiring the view.
We found a Yellow and Variegated Trilliums as well as red.
After a steep descent, the trail was relatively easy though the valley until we crossed a creek and began the ascent up the other side.
Upon reaching the top we stopped for Elevensies.
The Trilliums were even more prevalent on this side of the valley.
As were these "May Bud Apples"?
A little road walking from Rattlesnake Conservation Area to Kelso.
A view of Milton.
Hey, I want to see too!
Kelso Lake
The top of the ski hill.
A little brown snake was also out sunning himself on the trail.
The end was in sight!
