It turned out to be a great day for hiking, sunny, warn with a
cool breeze off Georgian Bay, no bugs !

Looks like a possible place for bobcats to hide.
Looking back to Hope Bay where we started.
 Pretty yellow flowers ?
Hope Bay looking out to Georgian Bay
 Love those trilliums
 A bit of wind damage
 Trilliums starting to turn pink.

Interesting indentations carved out when the lake was much higher.

Some of us a much more agile than others ....
We spot our first Lady Slipper

Plenty of pretty columbine along the Trail
The trek down the Escarpment to the beach starts with a set of steep stairs.
 Some tricky steep trail
 and more stairs.
 finally the beach ...
we pick a lunch spot near a flowering choke cherry.
After a pleasant rest we head for the cars.
