Dufferin Section - Black Bank - Oct. 11th, 2018

It was a cool, cloudy, Fall day when Nancy, Marleen, Michael, Rob, Karen (our Leader), Sandra, Eric, Arpi, Paul, and Steve our cameraman, started off on a 14.5 km hike.  This was the last hike in Dufferin for Marleen, Nancy, and Sandra who all earned their Dufferin Badge on this hike.

The hike began with a series of steady climbs.  Just what we needed to warm-up.

The trail went through a series of farm fields with MANY stiles to be crossed.

A brief stop to regroup after another stile crossing.

And off we went again.

All heads were focused on our feet as we began a tricky descent.

Given the longer drive, lunch came relatively early in the hike.  Seating was found on some logs and...

a park bench for the few radicals in the group.

after lunch we continued our descent into the Boyne River Valley.

The mandatory bridge picture and no the bridge is not bending under our groups collective weight.

Back on top of the valley bank.

Fall colours

The final road walk to the cars and ...

the cemetery.
