Iroquoia #1; Grimsby 0.0 km to Lewis Road Acsess 11.1 km; April 5, 2019

 We hiked this section from Lewis Road back to Grimsby
 Today's hikers; Sandra; Brian; Nancy; Stephen our leader;
 Marleen; Fran; Annette; Ron; Eric; Isaac; Stefan and Case
 We make our way along the Lewis Road access Trail ...
 and meet the Bruce Trail half way up the escarpment.

 Yep, your right Brian, it's broke !

 We make our way towards the crest of the Escarpment

 The view from the top, looking north towards Lake Ontario
A migrating Turkey Vulture keeps an eye on us.
 We lunch at the Beamer Conservation Area where local birders are
currently monitoring the annual migration of hawks, eagles,
falcons, and vultures over the Niagara Escarpment

 Heading back down the Escarpment

 An early sign of spring greets us ....
Tussilago farfara (or in the vernacular, Coltsfoot)
 - leaf infusion supposedly good for a cough (thanks Ron)
 Forty Mile Creek rushes down the Escarpment to Lake Ontario
Congratulations to Sandra for completing the Iroquoia Section.
