Iroquoia - Crawford Lake to Hilton Falls - July 7th 2022

We parked our cars at Crawford Lake and hike 3 km to the end of the Leech-Porter Trail and continued on the Main Trail to complete the Iroquoia Section for Barbara.

Eleven of us came out for this 13 km hike with new hiker Liz, Peter, Laura, Steve, Annette, Steve R., Lesley, Sandra, Marleen, Barbara, and Doug our photographer today.

Off we go on this beautiful sunny day.

We reach the start of the Leech-Porter Trail.

Doug catches Steve blowing his nose just before a long climb up to the main Trail.

Back on level ground and the Main Trail.

We reach Appleby Line and discuss where we go from here.  Apparently not enough discussion as our Leader missed the turn off into Kelso and led us astray.

Lesley enjoying a drink and an appreciated break.

A few of us try and understand where we have come from and where we are going.

Do we believe him, after all he has missed a turn today?

We soon pass a field of wildflowers in an area undergoing revegetation.

Peter and Liz and Liz and Laura at the first lookout over Milton.

Peter looks somewhat concerned by this situation.

Elevensies at the second Lookout over Lake Kelso.

Doug seems to have an ability to catch Steve in unflattering poses.

We come across a truck on the top of the escarpment where they were about to film a Toyota Truck commercial with a GMC truck?

The view without the truck!

No hike would be complete without Doug finding Ice Cream!

Almost finished and we pass a field of Lavender in full bloom.

Our destination has been reached.

The hike concludes with our traditional salute to Barbara for completing the Iroquoia Section.
