Beaver Valley 56.2 km to 70.1 km November 17, 2016

We hiked this section from the parking lot on Johnston's Sideroad around the south tip of the valley
and turned north ending at the Eugenia Falls Outlook.
Excellent hiking weather with temperature about 14C and mostly sunny.

Today's hikers were; Case; Richard our leader; Andy, Leslie, David and Eric.
During hunting season we all tend to hike close to Eric.

The first waterbreak was at "The Bench Too Short"
Our leader points out 'Old Baldy' across the valley

Not much Fauna to photograph at this time of year. Some fungi and a lot of moss.

 Trees have warts too ......

A small foam 'pancake' caught in an eddy in the waterfall.

We round the southern most point of the BeaverValley and head north.

 Hogg's Falls

The burden of leadership rests heavy on Richard as he maps out the rest of the hike.

 Just one more hill ......

At the end of the hike we are presented with a fantastic view of Euginia Falls.

with plastic piping awaiting the Spring maple syrup harvest.

The Trail heads up another hill past beautiful birches.

Some trees are just AWESOME

The Tral crosses Airport Road

and we climb another hill .....

"There he goes, behind the tree, do you see him?"

We follw the Trail down into another pictueresque valley

A well deserved lunch break.

The Trail traverses the Hockely Valley Resort propertywhere they operate a Golf Course
in summer and a Ski Facility in winter.
Here we survey the scenery looking north from the top of the ski hill.

Golfers taking advantage of the great November 10th weather.

Milkweed pods getting ready to let the wind distribute their seeds for next years crop.

Beaver Valley 27.9 km to 42.1 km November 3, 2016

The Section starts where the Trail crosses the 10th Line at the Kolapore Uplands
and ends at the Old Baldy Conservation Area Parking Lot on Sideroad 7B.

The weather started out cloudy but the sun broke through and the temp was around 10C.
Today's hikers; Richard our leader Annette; Steve our co-leader;
Anne Marie; Bill; Eric; David and Case.

Because of the rainfall overnight the Trail was quite sippery under the leaves
and it required caution while going up and down the hills.

The Trail crosses the Mill Creek on a bridge that was quite elaborate by Bruce Trail standards.

"Did nobody else see him? It looked just like a bobcat."

The Trail enters thePinnicle Rock Nature Reserve,
a 130 acre farm donated to the BTC in 2013 by the Richardson Family.

Pinnicale Rock.

Road walking along Fox Ridge Road.

The Trail follows the base of the Escarpment
and then ascends to the top through a spectacular natural pass.

We hiked across the top of McCluskey's Rock and then descended into the valley below.

A bridge that more close;t resembles the Bruce Trail standard.

The last lookout before we reached the cars in the Old Baldy Parking Lot.
