Iroquoia #10 Crawford Lake 105.5 km to Kelso 120.1 km, April 6, 2017

 We parked at Crawford Lake and hiked to the Kelso Parking lot.

The Kelso Conservation Area was closed for tree cutting so we had

 to detour along Applby Road.

 Again the Turkey Vultures looking for the straggling hikers.

The rain has started and we stop for an equipment adjustment.

Our resident Botanist suggests they are Hepatica.

We were lucky to have Mary Poppins as our sweep today

We finally gave up looking for a nice dry spot for Elevensies

We were all pretty well drenched when we arrived at the cars.

Iroquoia #6 Sydenham Lookout 58.6 km to Snake Road 67.6 km, March 30, 2017

We parked two cars at the Sydenham Lookout in Dundas 

and hiked to Snake Road in Waterdown.

 We had 14 hikers today; Ron; Fran; Carol; John; Mike; Eric;

 Christine; Annette; Stefan; Steve; Ann, our leader, Rhona and Case

 The temperature hovered around 0C and cloudy with a bit of wind

 We spotted an early signof spring.

 Borer's Falls with a group of rowdy tourists across the gorge.

 A Turkey Vulture hoping for a straggler.

 Looking south across Dundas Valley.

 Every time you go downhill 

it's inevitable you will have to go uphill

 Into the tunnel under Highway #6.

 We break for elevensies at the ruins of an old stone homestead.

 The last down and up before Snake Road.

We encounter a few muddy patches along the trail

Iroquoia #4 Jolly Cut 34.1 km to Artaban Rd Parking Lot 46.7 km, March 23, 2017

 We parked at the Sam Lawrence Park off Concession Street at the Jolly Cut 

and hiked to the Artaban Rd Parking Lot just west of Sherman Falls.

 Today's hikers; Case; Ann; Mike; John; Steve our leader; 

Jane; Fran; Ron; Christine and Stefan.

 The main Trail folloows the Jolly Cut along the paved sidewalk.

 The Trail follows Claremount Access

 While trying to capture a 'shoe tree' I pick up a large bird,

I'm guessing a Peregrine Falcon?

 The Trail descends a set of steps to the Chedoke Golf Club

 The Trail follows the Radial Trail, an old rail line that opertated from 1908 to 1931

 "Okay little dwarfs, lunch is over   

..... Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go .."

 The Trail utilizes a pedestrian bridge across Highway 403.

 The Trail takes a steep incline up hill ...

 And inevitably we have to go down hill

After a stop at Sherman Falls we reach our cars
