Toronto - Scotsdale Farm (29.7 km) to Limehouse (21.5 km) and return - July 1st 2021

We parked at Scotsdale farm on a beautiful Canada Day.  We hiked form the farm to Limehouse where after elevensies we returned for a total 17 km hike with 8.2 km of the Main Trail completed.

Hikers included Barbara, Sandra, Ken (part-time photographer), David, Ron B., Arpi, and Steve. This was the last hike that Ken needed to complete the Toronto Section.

Heading out on the Side Trail from the Farm.

The Trail has many boardwalks in this section which were helpful given the wet conditions.

Heading into the bush after crossing Trafalgar Rd.

Walking down Sixth Line.

More wet ground and more boardwalks.

Crossing some fields and a creek.

Having reached 5th Line we have a stile to cross.

Barbara and Sandra reach the top of the Drumlin after a series of switchbacks.

Traversing the cliff face before we return to 5th Line and Elevensies in Limehouse.

The empty track in Limehouse.

Returning along 5th Line and heading back into the forest.

Creek crossing.

Some large Fungi for Ron!

Exiting the forest at 6th Line.

More boardwalks.

The final stretch to the cars!  Congratulations to Ken for completing the Toronto Section!

Caledon - 7th Line (43.4 km) to 5th Line EHS (52.3 km) and return - June 24th, 2021

The hike was 8.9 km from the 7th Line Parking to 5th Line EHS and then returning on various Side Trails for a total 17.6 km hike.

Ken (the photographer), Michael (the Leader), Arpi, Doug, Brian, Marleen and Siri were along for the hike.

The Trail starts with a short bit of road walking.

Crossing some fields and a bridge.

A short break at a Gazebo in the woods.

Elevensies on a convenient log.

Doug and Ken having reached 5th Line had completed half the hike.

Someone didn't survive the winter. The deer skull was found while the hikers were off Trail looking for a shortcut.  Perhaps the deer was looking for the same shortcut?

Crossing at Airport road.

A frog riding a bike!

A Side Trail through a pine forest.

Almost back to the cars after an arduous long hike.

Niagara - Quarry Rd (67.9 km) to Thirty Rd (76.1 km) - June 17th, 2021

After a long absence from the Bruce Trail due to Covid restrictions, we started from where we had left off at Quarry Road and hiked 8.2 k to Thirty Road and back again.

Hikers included Ken, Doug, Michael the leader, Ann, Arpi, Marlene, Ron B., Ron J., David and Brian.  Ken was the primary photographer.  It was a beautiful day for a hike with spectacular scenery as usual.

Michael seems to have the hikers attention except for Ron and David.

Elevensies and rest time.

Vineyards and Toronto in the distance.

I'm not sure what Ron and Brian are looking for or have found.

The rest stand around discussing what they are doing?

Heading back to the cars.

Done!
