Beaver Valley 5 - Eugenia 56.2 km to Johnston's Sideroad 70.1 km - September 14th, 2017

Today's hike started at the Eugenia Falls Conservation Area
The temp was about 22C and it was quite humid, 

none the less good hiking weather.

 Eugenia Falls where the Beaver River takes a 30m drop over the Escarpment.

 "Do you want us to pose or just keep walking?"

 "And this one?"   "A dead tree."   "Thanks Ron."

Niagara 2 - Woodend (15.2 km) to Decew House (29.8 km) - August 17th, 2017

We had a full contingent out for this End-to-End hike with Helgy, Christine, Annette, Ron, Fran, David, and Stefan, joining Ann as their leader for this 14.6 km hike.

After hiking alongside a golf course though the forest the Trail soon comes to the first of several abandoned canals along the route.

Golfing anyone?

Grapes are ripening.

Ron finds a flower as the trail begins a stretch of road walking to the current Welland Canal.

The Trail passes under a lift railroad bridge.

Finally back into the forest.

The Trail crosses Lake Moodie and the end is in sight.  Congratulations to Fran who completed her Niagara Section!

Dufferin - 30 Side Road (13.3 km) to 1st Line E (29.4 km) - August 10th, 2017

Mike, Stefan and Fran started off on this 16.1 km through the Boyne Valley.

After some road walking and crossing Hwy #89, the hikers entered the forest.  This bridge has seen better days.  Luckily our hikers made it across successfully. 

Steve seems overwhelmed by the beauty of the forest in this picture.

Mike seems to be swallowed by the forest.

And of course there were mushrooms.
