Today we hiked 13 km starting at the intersection of Creditview Rd and Grange Rd (not on map but 6.5 km on the Main Trail) along the Main Trail to McLaren Road Side Trail which we followed south to the Main Trail at km 5.1 and then back to the cars for a total Main Trail hike of 9.4 km.
The trees were in full colour but the rain was also coming down as we started our hike. Hikers included, Nancy, Marleen, Catherine, Justine (a guest hiker), Ken, Arpi, Doug, Sandra and Steve. Many thanks to our photographers for the day which were, Catherine, Doug, Ken and Steve.
We started out heading North on Creditview Rd but were soon into the forest.
The path was carpeted with multi-coloured leaves.
A clothing adjustment was soon required as although the rain kept falling, the temperature was rising.
We soon arrived at the top of the Devil's Pulpit.
The view over the valley was spectacular.
We took our time descending as the rocks were slippery with the rain.
We all made it safely to the bottom of the Valley and stopped to admire the Forks of the Credit.
We followed the Trail up the Credit Valley with spectacular colours along the way.
We climbed out of the Valley to begin our return south along the crest.
A mystery fungus was spotted for Ron J. to identify.
Heading East on Puckering Lane.
and South on MacLaren Road Side Trail.
One last climb to get back to the cars.
