We began at the McDui Drive Access Trail and hiked 8.3 km East to Cline Mtn ST and then returned on the same trail for a total of 16.6 km.
The weather was promising when we started out with a high of 20 degrees. Spring has sprung! Hikers were Ann (our incredible sweep), Michael, Brian, Barb, Sandra, Arpi, Marleen, Annette, Christine, Doug, Ken and Steve. Special thanks to Ken and Doug for added photos.
Ice was still prevalent though necessitating icers but as the day progressed mud would be our challenge along with the continual up and down hills and streams to cross.
Finally, we arrived at Cline Mtn ST and enjoyed a brief stop for elevensies. Half way through, and all hikers were very tired.
Clothing adjustments were made at elevensies to account for the soaring temperatures and we were off to retrace our steps.
An interesting fungus for Ron J?
Waterfalls were melting fast in today's heat as were some of the hikers.
The cars suddenly appeared as we reached the end of the hike and never were they more welcome after a tough but a great hike.
