It was partially cloudy and cool when we started today's hike. Annette, Eric and Fran were completing the Sydenham Section with this 20.3 km hike. Ron and Steve were along for the ride.
The trail wandered through some cedar groves before exiting onto a road by a field with a small loading corral. The ground was wet after last nights rain.
The escarpment loomed above as we approached the required climb
Upon reaching the top, the views were spectacular all along the trail.
Elevensies!
A find for Ron.
A flower pot.
Some road walking prior to following the trail up to Wiarton's International Airport.
Some sumac and discarded coffins lined the edge of the airport.
A final climb down the escarpment and the end of our day's hike was in sight.
Put that snowball down Ron!
The finish line! Congratulations Annette, Eric and Fran!
