Caledon/Dufferin - Dunby Road (68.0 km) to 30th Sideroad (13.3 km) - July 22nd, 2021

The hike today started at Dunby Rd at the north end of Caledon and followed the Main Trail through Mon Cliffs Provincial park north to 30th Sideroad for a 16.6 km hike. This was our first hike with cars at each end of the hike since the start of Covid.

There were eleven of us on a beautiful cool summer day perfect for hiking.  Hikers were, Palma, Leslee, Su, Barbara, Steve, Marleen, Sandra, Doug (photographer), Arpi, Annette and Ken the photographer.

We started with a short road walk but soon left the road to climb the escarpment on a technically difficult stretch.

Having reached the top, the ladies take a short break to admire the view.

The descent was even more challenging.

Back on the road again until we entered Mono Cliffs P.P.

A quick water break.

Back on the Trail.

The Trail passes several ponds.

A field of thistles in bloom.

A hollowed out tree.

Elevensies by a lookout over the Park.

A quick side trip down a crevice.

After exiting the park we had a bit of road walking passing some very nice properties along the way.

Back into the forest where the Trail alternates between passing through fields and forests for the remainder of the hike.
