Dufferin - Prince of Wales (41.7 km) to Rock Hill (29.4 km) - Aug. 26th, 2021

We started from 20 Side road and Prince of Wales for a 12.3 km hike to Rock Hill.

There was eight of us with Ron (a photographer), Barbara, Brian, Sandra, Marleen, Nancy, Steve and Ken (a photographer), all along for the hike.

The hike begins with some road walking on Prince of Wales.

We encountered some friendly dogs long the way.

The Trail soon enters the forest but only some of the group dares to go this way.

Barbara crossing a small stream.

When we exited the forest, the road walkers had left us a message.

Back into the forest.

A massive fungus for Ron J. and the group checking it out.

Nancy keeping cool with her fan.

Descending to Pine River.

A brief pause by the lake.

and another pause by the abandoned power house.

The long climb out of the Pine River Valley.

A bit more road walking.

Finally back into the forest.

Navigating through Rock Hill and on to the cars.
