Our hike on this day started at the corner of 2nd Concession and the Holland-Sydenham Townline and ended at the Bognor Marsh parking lot, a distance of 14 km.
Hikers today included Ken, Ron B., Boyd, Doug, Muris, Arpi, Brian, Steve, Nancy, Marleen, Barbara, and Sandra.
We set off on a glorious fall morning with the rising sun warming our spirits.
There was a fair length of road walking to begin that provided a chance for us to find our stride.
Always lots to admire while you're on the road...
We turned onto 4th Concession and eventually regrouped to head into the woods.
It was a classic fall day...sunny and about 14 degrees...perfect for hiking.
Over to 6th Concession and the last bit of forest walking for the day...including a break for Elevensies...
The final stretch of road walking which would take us to the cars at Bognor Marsh...a chance to chat and enjoy the beautiful day...
Some beautiful vistas and a praying mantis crossing the road kept things interesting...
We reached the parking lot, checked our watches, and caught up on some "honour gaurd" ceremonies for a few of us who had recently completed sections of the Trail...a great start to our 3 day adventure.
