Beaver Valley #1 Maple Lane 0.0 km to 6th Line 13.3 km - May 10, 2017



Today's hike was the first section in the Beaver Valley, 
the weather was perfect for hiking.
 Today's hikers, Rhonda, David, Fran and Case

 Georgian Bay as seen from the top of the Blue Mountain Ski Hills


 Nottawasaga Bay from the top of the Escarpment.

Meanwhile at the top of Georgian Peaks .....
"Take us to your Leader" .... "Leader? What Leader?"

 We encounter several muddy sections. 
and tricky creek crossings.
 Love those marsh marigolds
 These two kept getting ahead of us ....
Trout Lilly or Yellow Dogtooth Violet       Red Trilliuim (Trillium Erectum)
 Waterfall on the Indian Creek

 "Flower pot" created by the waves of an ancient glacial lake.

 We cross the Indian Creek climb the last hill to the car. 
Then off to Meaford and dinner at the Leeky Canoe with the rest of the group.
