Toronto - 27th Sideroad (32.2 km) to Winston Churchill (42.8 km) - October 24th, 2019

12 of us began the 10.6 km hike on a cool but dry morning.  Hikers included, Annette, Boyd, Michael, Marleen, Brian, Nancy, Eric, Sandra, Catherine, Steve, Madge, and Jason a guest hiker and photographer.

Off we went at a reasonably slow pace initially because the trail is rocky through this area and with the leaves on the ground and rain the night before, footing was tricky.

Our bridge picture.  Nancy seems to see something.

Water was low in the creek despite the rain.

Trail maintenance crews have been active.

After crossing the creek again we start back up the escarpment.

We find some logs in the sun for our elevensies.

Off we go again

After descending the escarpment we cross a marshy/grassy area.

The trail passes a small pond with a swan.

A smaller pond after climbing the escarpment again.

One final bridge and the cars are waiting to return us home.
