The hikers on their final push to the Top (of the Peninsula)
Our leader, Richard, Helgy, Steve, Christine, Ann, Andy and Case.

After a good breakfast at the Princess Hotel in Tobermory we drove to the parking area on Little Cove Road
and started out road walking toward Highway #6.
The weather was cool, about 10C and although it was dry, rain was predicted.

The sun broke out on our hike along Little Cove Road.

The rain started when we turned north on Highway #6.

We turned right on to Dunk's Bay Road and headed back to the Georgian Bay shore.

Although the weather was not ideal we took the time to follow the
Burnt Point Side Trail to Dunk's Point and back.

At the Bruce Peninsula National Park Visitor Center we stopped at the Lookout Tower
From here it was a short distance to the Bruce Trail Cairn on the waterfront in |Tobermory.

Congratulations to Helgy and Steven
for completing their End to End Hike of the Bruce Trail
Helgy and Steve with the Sherpas that helped them in their quest to reach the summit.
Surpisingly when I was about to post this picture an other person appeared at the extreme
right The 'spirit' of Karen Nurse, Karen, who isresponsible of organizing this entire End to
End is currently hiking in China and Japan but must have 'willed' herself into our celebration.

Breaking out the champagne.
We were joined on the last day by John and Sharon Innanen from Kitchener. John completed his end to end as well.
Helgy and Steve with the Sherpas that helped them in their quest to reach the summit.
When I was about to post thispicture the image of Karen Nourse appeared on the extreme right.
Karen, who is responsible of organizing the entire End to End is currently hiking in China and
Japan and obviously wanted to be with us to celebrated Steve and Helgy's accomplishment.

Then it was off to the Sweet Shop for a nutricious lunch of ice cream !
