Beaver Valley Km 0.0 to Km 13.3 - 18 May, 2016

This is the start of the Beaver Valley Section at the east end of Maple Lane in the Swiss Meadow
Subdivision and goes to roadside parking on the 6th Line north of Grey Road 19, km 13.3.

Weather was sunny with cloudy intervals, perfect for hiking.

 Today's hikers; Case; Christine who needs this section to complete Beaver Valley;
Eric; Karen our leader and Annette.
 The Trail leaves Maple Lane and drops below the escarpment for a short distance and
 returns to the top at the Craigleith Ski Club where we have a beautiful panoramic view of
 Nottawasaga Bay.

 The Trail descends into a deep valley and then climbs into the Loree Forest

 At Georgian Peaks Ski Club we have 'elevensies' on a large deck at the top of the ski slopes.
"It's okay, we just had our lunch, but thanks anyway."
"Do you want to join us in a snowball fight?"

 Jack in the Pulpits keep a close watch as we hike by.

 The Trail follows the 18th Sideroad and turns left into a hardwood bush.

 We cross open fields and enter a wooded area next to Indian Brook..

 This 'flowerpot' was created by the waves off an ancient glacial lake.
 "Honest Eric, I'm sure this is the last hill."
We get to the car and head for the Rocklyn Inn.
Congratulations Christine !!  Only 7 km left !
