Sydenham KM 0.00 to KM 14.5, September 13, 2016

This section starts at the historic hamlet of Blantyre, on Grey County Road #12, passes
through Walter's Falls and ends on 2nd Concession South in Sydenham Township.

The weather was perfect for hiking, sunny with the temp in the mid 20's C.

Today,s hikers, Richard our leader; Christinr; Andy and Case.
As we started the hike down a farm lane someone spotted a feline intently
watching us from a perch on a large rock across the field.

After some discussion we concluded  it must Bob's Cat.

Some lovely Sweet Peas still blomming along the trail.

We head around a field of beans and enter an open bush.

The Trail crosses Rcklyn Creek.

Interesting fungi

The Trail turns on to the St.Vincent - Sydenham Townline where we follow a steep acsent
for about 700m. We stop at the crest for our lunch break.

The "Touch-me-nots" were not quite ready to be touched yet.

At the Grey Co. Rd 29 we encountered a deep, wet, ditch where someone provided
 a temporary 'Bailey Bridge'.

We follow the river valley of Walter's Creek through a cedar forest.

Walter's Falls

We followed the north shore of the creek back to County Rd 29

We reach the car on the 2nd Concession looking north towards Georgian Bay.
We pick up the other car and head for the Rocklyn B&B.
